About International Cruise Training

Turn an interest in hospitality into a professional career pathway.

The International Hospitality Training Program (IHTP) prepares young people for the standards and realities of working in cruise hospitality. The programme develops guest-service skills, workplace communication, personal presentation, professional discipline and the confidence to work within an international, multicultural team.

Training is connected to certification, hotel-based experience, interview preparation and placement support—giving candidates a structured route from learning the fundamentals to pursuing their first cruise contract.

Program Structure · 9 Months

From the classroom to a hospitality career.

This job-oriented pathway combines focused training, recognised maritime and hospitality certification, real workplace experience and structured placement support.

2 monthsFoundation Training

Intensive classroom preparation covering the service standards, communication skills and professional discipline required for hospitality and cruise-line roles.

1 monthProfessional Certification

Preparation for relevant, internationally recognised maritime and hospitality certifications.

6 monthsHotel Internship

Practical experience in a 3–5-star hotel, followed by final interview training and support toward cruise-ship placement.

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE

Complete a six-month internship in a 3–5-star hotel and learn within a professional hospitality environment.

CRUISE INTERVIEW PREPARATION

Receive focused preparation for final interviews, documentation and the expectations of cruise employers.

The published program includes cruise-ship placement and support for a second contract after the first assignment.

Who can apply?

A practical route for young people ready to work.

The program is open to applicants aged 18–30 who have completed at least Class 10. No previous hospitality experience is required. What matters is the willingness to learn, work in a disciplined service environment and build a career away from home.
